We prioritize the well-being of our personnel and regularly assess job satisfaction through work ability surveys, among other methods.

The latest survey results indicate positive development, confirming that Escarmat is moving in the right direction in enhancing employee well-being.

Further evidence of this progress is seen in the inspection team, which has made significant improvements since the last survey, resulting in a notable increase in team satisfaction.

Background of the survey

The response rate of this year’s occupational well-being survey was 72%. While this is a good result, there is still room for improvement in future surveys.

The survey link was sent to personnel via email and text message. The results indicate that we are moving in the right direction, as both satisfaction and assessments of work ability have improved. Our employees value their work and are dedicated to it.

A particularly positive finding was the increase in the company-wide eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score), which measures employee commitment.  Our employees are likely to recommend the company to their friends and colleagues.

What makes Escarmat a good workplace?

According to our survey, the most meaningful factors contributing to well-being at work in our community are flexible working hours, support from colleagues and supervisors, possessing the necessary skills to meet job demands, and confidence that one’s work ability will remain good in the next two years.

The results also show that our employees feel their responsibilities and level of authority are clear, they usually have enough time to complete their tasks carefully, and the values of the workplace are in line with their own.

Ideas and development suggestions

We have received many valuable and insightful development ideas from our personnel, reflecting their commitment to continuously improving our operations.

Feedback indicates that certain demanding tasks and aspects of supervisory work – especially giving feedback – need further development. Our goal is to enhance workflow efficiency and employee well-being, and we are actively seeking concrete solutions. The development process for supervisory work has already begun, and we are providing training and tools to help supervisors give constructive feedback. Our aim is to constantly improve openness and collaboration within the work community.

Open-ended responses highlighted the need for better communication and a more effective onboarding process for new employees. Improving these areas can significantly enhance both work efficiency and overall well-being.

Positive development in the inspection team

The inspection team has seen significant positive development, as reflected in the latest  well-being survey. Team spirit is strong, and the working atmosphere is widely appreciated. Workflows run smoothly, and team members trust each other. Products are thoroughly checked before being sent to customers, and any errors are handled with a humane approach.

Following the latest survey, ergonomic improvements have been implemented. Inspectors now have personal electric desks, ergonomic chairs, and other assistive equipment designed with ergonomics in mind. These enhancements have improved working conditions and reduced physical strain.

Last summer, the inspection team expanded from five to seven members and was assigned a dedicated supervisor. Previously, inspectors were part of a larger group and reported to the supervisor of a bigger unit. Now they have a clearer leadership model, which has made everyday life easier.

The working environment for inspectors has improved significantly, which is particularly evident in the latest survey results regarding work ability. Collaboration has strengthened, making work smoother and problem solving more effective. Task organization and anticipation have also improved, and while there is always room for refinement, progress is clearly in the right direction. Improving the flow of communication continues as a development effort so that urgent situations can be managed even better.

We are committed to continuous improvement

Development is a step-by-step process – some improvements happen quickly, while others take more time. Our work continues actively, and we encourage our personnel to keep sharing their thoughts openly. Together, we continuously improve our operations to make our work community even better.

We want our employees not only to succeed today but also to look forward to coming to work tomorrow. Job satisfaction does not happen by itself – we work for it every day.
